Comment:

She's a very sweet lady, but demands a lot of work. The textbook is used every day. Assignments are e-mailed to you in a timely manner. She is only patient with you to a certain extent. I had a rough week and she truly made me feel very badly about myself and very unwelcome in class, despite her knowing that I was struggling.

I had Dr. White for French 201..it was my fifth year taking French so I thought it would be a piece of cake. Not so much! Study, study, study! Practice for your oral exams a week before hand. Not the night before! Read The Three Musketeers! Attendance is a big part of your grade. And also participate a lot!!

She is very helpful and wants everyone to know what is going on before she continues. At first she may seem intimidating but she really is very nice and very understanding. One of the best French teachers I have ever had. If you prepare for each class you will do fine.

I must agree with the person that said she is like a mother who wants her kid to succeed. She is pretty straightforward and of course no English is allowed. She uses a lot of illustrations and repetitive techniques. My only problem was that she wants the accents on the words which I was not really used to doing. But she is highly reccommended.

This is my second class w/ her. I really didn't like her for the first one, but this is a lot better. She is really hard with grammar/writing classes, but the culture class is interesting and she's not as hard. Good teacher overall.

I took two semesters with her and cannot believe the negative ratings. She was an incredibly easy, fair teacher and was much like a high school teacher rather than a college professor. Anyone who did not do well in her classes probably has no hope. Definitely take her for French.

This is a class that offers you your Money's worth.She has the best teaching techniques especially using Props.she is like a Mother who wants her kids to be successful.She is encouraging.If you are truely invested in knowing the language and ready to work then she is the perfect teacher for you.Bonne Chance!

very rigid teacher, grades papers and dicatations unfairly. Not at all aproachable. If you are willing to settle for a grade that you don't deserve then you won't mind her as much. Try to avoid take St. Martin or Diriker instead

Be prepared to work in her calss. EXCELLENT teacher.Definately will get a good langusge education.Come out of class with a good proficiency in french but class is assigned a lot,I mean beaucoup of assigments.IF ONE IS LAZY,HATES HOME WORKS AND GOING TO CLASS then forget it!!!!

Most of the work that is graded is fair EXCEPT the workbook excercizes which she grades as if you have been speaking french forever. Her test can also be very hard and are not on the material that she spends most of the class time on. You will be very surprised when you take one of her exams. Beware
