This guy is somewhat of a legend in the academic film/lit world, so it's worth taking his class just for that. TAs do most of the grading and stuff, and the class is moderately interesting, but unless you actually do some of the work you won't get anything out of it.

HOW!? How can anyone hate this professor. He is amazing. If your looking for someone interesting and engaging PLEASE take this course. If your looking for facts, numbers and endless note taking, DO NOT take his classes. He will teach you more about life than some stupid book.

Easily the most fascinating, funny human being I've ever had for a teacher. If you have the chance, take his class. This man is a walking page of history. Plus, he's way hotter than Milos Foreman.

I disagree with the critics. He is a great professor and a lot of fun. Has a passion for life and education unsurpassed by any professor I have ever had. I would love to have him again. Unconventional professor, but this is a good thing. A+++++++

Possibly the worst class I've ever taken. He is hard to understand and doesn't teach anything. Prof. Middents taught our class twice and I learned more in those 2 days than all semester... definately take his class instead.

Awful movies, going to class is a waste of time, but if you're looking for an easy class, then take it.
