Art/Sue are very straightforward and helpful. If Sue taught the course we could finish in month. :) They always answer questions in class and if you are confused. Do the assignments. 1st Mid= Super easy, 2nd Mid= Killer. DO not expect a good grade. Its not the end of the world b/c i got 30% in that mid and ended with a B. Straight forward Final. gl

Can you say long lost twin of Barry Manilow? haha, Art was a pretty good stats prof. The class was useless in the sense that stat 203's curriculum is almost identical. but anyway, good prof. 3 hour lectures aren't too painful!

art is such a sweet professor! he was incredibly helpful throughout the term. the class is quite difficult and tricky, mid1 was easy, mid2 was hard, and the final was fair. just don't fall behind!

3hr lectures are painful. the subject is boring and the lectures are just as boring. Art tries to make it better but he can only do so much. he relies heavily on powerpoint and when he does make notes, they're impossible to read. midterm1 was easy, midterm2 was harder, the final exam was extremely difficult.

prof is very nice and considerate. I found the course quite hard, pay attention to MT1 cos high marks are acheivable there, but final is quite hard. Art's lectures are quite boring though. TA Sue is very nice and responds very fast to email, giving u thorough instructions in how to do the assignments (sometimes even gives the answer..)

I liked Art, very nice approachable type. Class material is very do-able if you do lots of practice questions. The 3 hour lectures are TERRIBLE but any 3 hour lecture is torturous. The exams are fair and reasonable.

This class was the most unnecessarily difficult class I've taken at SFU. I took another stats course at the same time, got an A-, and a D in this class - and I put WAY more work into this class. Great lectures, seems like a nice guy, but uses exams to make a curve, not educate students fairly.
