Operating Systems- Horrible assignments and testing structure. Minimal chances to code. Assignments would be 4-6 pages type single spaced for no reason other than busy work. Take this class at another campus if possible.

350 characters is not enough to describe how hard this guy made the class. Just when your grader makes you believe that you are doing well and that you have a complete understanding of the class, Out comes Arvind's Exam grading to take a dump on your pillow. Also, for your own sake, start the Nachos project early, very,very early.

Comment:

Very strict in terms of grading, very arbitrary in terms of structure. Was 40 minutes late to class and took attendance. After the class collectively protested his policies to the chair he sent us all a defensive email which put all blame upon the students for any shortcomings in the course. Bad attitude, no respect for his students or their time.

On April 16th this professor was 30 minutes to class. According to the syllabus there was an exam that day. On the first exam the average was 50%. This was graded by the professor but the grader has been grading the assignments and said people have been doing well. He purposely fails students and is an educational terrorist

Avoid professor at all costs. Never take a course with this man, ever. His grading is strict, his expectations are high and he can even succumb to his own expectations. He expects his students to make no mistake while he makes them in lecture on a daily basis.

Even though I feel like I understand the material, but I'm struggling to pass the class. If my answers are too descriptive he cries plagiarism, yet without enough, he says vague. The only students doing better than I am are the few that have time to go to his office hours. He seems to grade based on what he thinks of you.

The only thing that I find annoying about this class is that he assigns these projects that are not something you should do in an INTRODUCTARY class. I don't think he understands that his tests should match the lecture and the book and not just be based off of his opinion of what a computer function does. Avoid his class or pray for a C.

Took him for Structures. He does not grade his own Homework, so that A you get for that will translate to a C on the exam. Every person I know who has had him all agree that if you want to pass him class make yourself known, only way to gain sympathy. Terrible English and Slides are almost as old as I am. Proceed with caution.

This guy is the WORST teacher I have ever had. His explanations are unclear and he talks about irrelevant material. His tests are impossible because he doesn't explain the material well enough. He is rude to his students and does not show them respect. He tries to make you feel stupid. Does not accommodate to handicapped students. HORRIBLE!!!!!
