Great Professor! Simply brilliant! He demands a lot from students so be prepared to work for your marks, but if you show any capability in terms of analysis he will help. He definatly pushes people, but that is why I went to UW in the first place.

Very smart and informative. I really enjoyed this class, it gave political science real hope for me. Was quite compassionate and approachable. Would love to take another of his classes. I did not notice him putting down students, but we were a smart bunch ;)

He's not an easy prof, but definately talk to him and you'll be ok. Once you participate and show that you're not just there to get a grade, he thinks you have a brain. If he yells at u in class, don't take it personally!

kapur is head of psci department, yet is the most inept person there. gives marks totally irrespective of work. doesnt read papers. doesnt help in person. insults students in class. he makes university a giant waste of money.

If you like a challenge then take his courses. Otherwise don't. He loves enthusiastic students. So don't be afraid to talk in class even if you don't have the 'right' answer. And if you're stuck go to his office and talk to him. He actually warms up.

Brilliant man. Learned so much. Sadly, unable to convey what he wants in a project. TA's were frustrated. Project was cleared but then was 'not at all what he wanted'. I called alumni - he personally washed out half a dozen that I know of.
