Good lecturer, and good at giving tests, and making us ready for what to expect. However some of the questions were quite tough on the exams, sort of out of left field, asking us stuff that we hadn't focused on, then leaving out a lot of the stuff we had focused on.

Dr. Asish really knows what he's talking about! However, he tends to get pretty theoretical and loses half of the class talking about things way above the class' level of understanding. He will definitely help in any way he can if he's asked.

Too arrogant. Rejected a proof that was "too trivial". Didn't specify any method for writing the proof. Any other prof. would've accepted that proof. Who knows how many other students' answers he gives 0 to because they are "too trivial". Would recommend taking a different prof if possible. Tsin is 10000x better.

EXCELLENT prof. Many of the concepts in this course I had taken before but not fully understood. After his class I knew and understood them like the back of my hand. The material is tough but he is very accommodating to student's difficulties. Not sure where these arrogant comments are coming from... very nice and friendly person in my mind.

If you read the book and understand the algorithms throughly enough to write them out pseudo-codedly, you'll ace the class. Never gives enough time on tests/exam. Very passionate about teaching, does come off very arrogant, doesn't bother most people cause they know it's because he cares soo much.
