It was the fall of 1998 when I had my one and only class with Doryland. I can go visit the college TODAY and he will greet me with my first name. That is what I call knowing your students. I don't know what the hell I did that ade me so memorable, but it's great going back and talking with the man.

Helicopter Aero and Stab and Ctrl are 2 different classes. Stab and Cntrl is just hard by nature. If you get Heli Aero, you'll see a totally different side to Prof. Doryland that most never get to see.

Cool guy outside of class, but.. At the beginning of the semester he posted this note on Bb (paraphrased): "If you fail, it ain't my fault." Take it however you want. Dynamics wasn't as bad as everybody made it sound, though. ~Easy concepts, but tons of work. You can get a B if you do don't do ANYTHING but HW throughout the semester.

Very smart man, definately the fire hose effect but he is very sucessful at dumbing down the information in order to make people understand the subject. Over all a good teacher and guy. want an interesting class have him tell war stories.

And this guy. He goes so fast it will make your head spin. From beginning to end, it is him spewing out equations that "quite obviously" yield other equations. It isn't obvious at all since he doesn't explain what he's writing. And the dynamics final, yes...it was pure evil and certain doom
