Dr. Eisenberg is an outstanding prof. Her lectures were my favorite part of the course (which is given by three different profs). She is able to convey difficult theoretical material in a very accessible and interesting way. One of my favorite profs. at UVic.

This part of the course was quite dry, often times she wouldn't deliver the main point and following her lecture was difficult. Nice lady, just hard for me to learn from.

Avigail Eisenberg was fantastic. My favourite seminar I've ever taken (I've done three so far). She is so willing to give you feedback and such a skilled facilitator - She really knows how to run a seminar! Very interesting and timely topics and readings. Would highly recommend.

Took this class based off an interest in the course description (the part of the course I enjoyed most haha). Lectures were painfully boring. There was very little to no guidance on the points that were trying to be established. Midterms and tests were extremely vague. Tutorials were of no help. Avigail was very rude and condescending.

WORST TEACHER!!!! RUUUUN, she is brilliant, but the worst test giver, and this teacher will ruin your GPA. Her exam questions are confusing and for a second level course required extensive knowledge of Canadian constitution. STAY AWAY!!!

Can take forever to get to the point (get on with it!) and lecture material is pretty standard. Good if you're into dry, typical lectures but there are better courses to take

If you're prepared to put A LOT of extra effort into studying for this course then you'll do fine. She goes very quickly through lectures, and if you don't have much previous knowledge of the topics covered then you'll often find yourself lost during lecture. Her terms list for midterms is very broad and I had to look up everything on wikipedia.

Overall, a really good professor. However, there quiz terms lists that she hands out are often frustrating as many of the terms are not in the textbook or notes, but are still relevant. That being said, the lists do help prepare you for the quizzes.

Lectures are fairly interesting but standard. Can get scattered with topics at times but powerpoints help emphasize what is important. Prepares you for quizzes with overly large terms list.Very likeable professor but pay attention in class.

Doesn't really tell you what you need to know for the course let alone to study for the exam. Says to use a word list as a guide (~60 words). Seems to be scattered at times and relies on her TA's far too much. She wasn't sure when federal elections are. I would avoid her if I had the option to.

Avigail is definately smart and passionate with the subject material, but she is quite intimidating! likes to put a lot of responsibilities on her TA's, she just shows up to do the lecture. was a fast-paced course.midterms are tricky, memorize facts!she definatley picks favourite students, and focuses on their questions during class...annoying.

Excellent prof. Can sometimes go off topic too much on student questions, but overall a great experience. In-class discussions of Canadian institutions were very interesting. I would definitely take another class with her.
