Will truly miss this wonderful person when she retires!! I hope she will guest lecture so she can continue to share her knowledge! Very Highly recommend her. I took most of her classes and can not say which one was better. In the end it wasn't (totally) about marks, but about me being a better person, learning and stepping out of my reality!

great instructor.caring and loving. spring will be her last semester. take her if u can. highly recomaned. talk to her before writting you paper. she is very helpful. agree that there are a lots reading. but still manageable.learned a lots from them. eye opening.fair marker. easy going. all in all,great personality.

Binns is a fun professor. The only bad thing about her in my opinion is that the notes she writes in class are way too confusing. Kinda disorganized at times, but it's all good. She is generally an easy marker, very fair in marks. She has this amazing accent and says alot of "Binns catch-phrases" that she repeats in class, like "Are you wit me?"

Do all students revel in strict structure and need to be spoon fed? Barbara is not "disorganized". She is just attempting to get you all to think out of the proverbial box. So stop being critical and learn something from a person who would really just love to impart at least one tenth of her sensitivity and boundless knowledge upon her students.

Barbara is one of the BEST prof's ive ever had.. it isnt that shes SUPER easy, but you can tell she loves what she does. Shes picky about analysis of papers, but if you go to her office she'll load you up or relatable material. There is NO WAY you could get any less then a B in her classes.

To the extent that quote unquote Barbara Binns can be praised as an excellent teacher is questionable.She is outrageously disorganized,often confused & lax with deadlines.Would love to have her as a drinking buddy but her lectures are lacking and she is ALWAYS unclear.Are you wit me?

Barbara was a great teacher. I thought the class was going to be dreadful because she appeared to be so unorganized. However, she was one of the most enlightening people I have come across and she definitely knows her stuff! A great experience!
