Dr. Gordon is a sweet lady who cares about her students. She pushes you out of your comfort zone as a writer, and gives you the necessary tools to do well on your assignments. If you do the homework, and you do it well, you will be perfectly prepared for your projects. If you can follow directions on Moodle, you will be prepared. Always go to class

Dr. Gordon is an amazing person. She is a nice lady and an even better teacher. She reminded me of just how much I love writing. If you have to take a writing course, I more than suggest you take Barbara Gordon.

Such a sweet lady who really cares about her students. Be prepared for nightly, time-consuming homework. Three papers total, which is half of your grade. No final though. Go above and beyond on the homework to get an A. Kinda loopy and is vague in what she expects.

Dr. Gordon is a very nice person and can talk to you if you need help on pretty much anything. However, you probably won't know you need help until the grade is already in the book. Many times, I thought my writing was good and up to par but ended up with a C on the paper. TOUGH grader and a lot of homework. Most homework of any of my classes.

Dr. Gordon is such a sweet lady and I enjoy her as a person. But she is so vague when it comes to grading feedback, which is tough to begin with. She says it's easy to get an A, but this isn't the case. You will have to work, & she asks SO much from the assignments that lead up to the papers. Do not recommend if you want an easy class or an easy A.

Dr. Gordon is extremely nice and very interested in this subject (Zen) and cares a lot about her students. She expects a lot from students, but this is an upper level GST, so by its nature SHOULD be a lot of work, which it was. But you get to meditate in class! And she gives study guides with the questions (and answers) for tests

Such a sweet lady, but a very difficult grader! I found her class interesting and it definitely taught me a lot..... but getting a B was hard. I recommend a different teacher for College Writing if you want an easy A. If you want a challenge, she is the lady for you!

I didn't have trouble getting A's on papers. My lower grades in the class were a result of not being able to keep up with the workload. Professor Gordon is a wonderfully kind person whose instructions and critiques are specific and helpful.

hardest college writing teacher by far. DO NOT TAKE HER.she gives way too much information than what is actually needed. she is such a stickler for attendance. WE ARE NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL ANYMORE.

Sort a looney, but definitely a genuinely nice old woman. She leaves out clear guidelines as to what she expects, and doesn't waiver from them a bit. Strict regarding attendance, but still possible to get a phony excuse past her.

I took her for At Death's Door and it had to have been the worst class I have ever taken. Every assignment was graded and you could only miss three classes. If you missed an assignment then a point was taken off of your final grade. Don't let her trick you by her smile.

Babs is such a nice person: shes super nice and a little spacey. She assigns alot of homework, but nothing impossible. The topics for the papers were boring, and she's a tough grader, but if you put some effort, youll deff get a B.

Really nice teacher! She is a little spacey, but she knows English and loves to help you with anything. You get 4 papers and they were little hard but nothing too bad. She is a somewhat critical grader but she tells you everything she expects and if you do that you are fine. I enjoyed her!

i took her upper level gst, and her homework assignments and attendance policy are ones that i encountered as a freshman. she is a very incosistent grader and is not clear as to the goals of the class or how you will be graded. don't let her smile fool you ... she is out to get people and will find ways to cut you down for no reason. DON'T TAKE HER

She is the WORST teacher at elon. i have never disliked a teacher before but she seriously is the worst. She is a VERY hard grader, picks favorites and basically wants everyone to get a bad grade. DONT TAKE HER!
