Worst teacher I have EVER had. She is way to worried about herself. She complains everyday. Don't sit in front row. She stinks. She is sooo horriable. One time she came over an hr. late on a test day, and the people who left failed the test. Hardest tests I've ever taken. Don't ever take her.

I think Dr. J really had a lot to teach if one was willing to learn. I would agree that her lecture style take getting used to. The text was helpful for her (very) hard tests. But as far as ideas go, she lectured things that set a foundation for every soc class I've taken since.

The first class I ever had to drop!! I am a 4.0 student! Okay, so this lady told our class that we should NOT be in school- she told us that we should be in South Africa for some legislative meeting...I mean, this lady is NUTS. School board doesn't care.

She really does talk about herself a lot, but I think that she has the credentials to do it. She truly does care about her students and is really helpful out of class. Make sure you really study your notes carefully and at least read the book.

She is a prof that really does care and will do anything to help you if you ask. She does talk a lot about her experience in the field, but I think that is helpful for the most part. She doesn't hate men...she hates slackers! So work hard!

I took several classes from Dr. Johnston, she has a lot to offer her students but is not interested in helping if you don't want to be helped. Her insight into her personal life and others is a teaching strategy to create meaningful links for knowledge.
