Avoid this class with her at all costs. attendance is way too important to her, she misses so many things in your speech while she grades them and when we do peer feedback she literally has to change her grading because she "didn't notice that part" i have not learned a thing she does NOT teach she just throws you up there. really irritating.

She is very nice. If you prepare well for presentations you will do great. She explains everything: the way your presentation should look like, how you should start your presentation etc. She explains the whole structure of your speech! Don't miss the day of your presentation or your grade will be lowered, from A to A-, just because you missed!

I was so scared of taking public speaking because I'm a shy person, but this became one of my favorite classes. She's such a sweetheart and as long as you come prepared to do your speech and practice, you will get an A. Take her class if you're afraid of public speaking! She honestly really helped me overcome my fear and I thank her for that.

Learned a lot from the professor and classmates' speeches. The speeches are a lot of work and can be stressful but as long as you complete everything that is required, and get up in front of the class, you will do well. Professor Lerner is very sweet and makes the class enjoyable. Don't wait till the last minute to prepare your speech! Practice!

I love her. she's nice and very easy to students. Speeches are easy and fun. She loves learning about her students and with her students. I recommend taking her. you'll learn a lot.

Class time was actually fun and went by fast. We would separate into groups and ended up just having talk sessions. Speeches are so easy as long as youre not a nervous wreck...then theres no helping you.

She's strict and very precise on what is expected of you .. and that's a lot. But as hard as she is I learned a lot and use the outlines for her class for my speeches in other classes and get A's. COM 200 can be an intimidating class but just FOLLOW instructions and you'll be fine. Shes not misleading and gives you a fair shot.

The midterm was extremly hard, and I did study for it. In the end I got an 80, and she added a 10 point curve, so it wasn't that bad. As long as you include all the things you need in your speeches like (attention getter, credibility, etc.) you will be fine.

Old people love power-point and i still dont know why. She plays favorites and she will promise you one grade and then give you another. Mid-term will VERY HARD (borderlining on innapproate for a PUBLIC SPEAKING class). Read the book 3 times. She's a wise lady, but dumb as s*** when it comes to public speaking skills.
