notes are poorly formatted at best, and she often gives incorrect information, which students catch. you would do better to rely on your lab instructor for additional information and primarily use the textbook for notes. except for basic information you have trouble remebering, the cheat sheets you can bring to a test are useless.

Her lectures are a little dry, i found it hard to stay interested a lot of the time even though the subject material wasnt that boring. Her quizzes were usually reasonable, and the midterm was very reasonable, overall a pretty good prof.

She was an absolutely horrible professor! I have never had one person confuse me so easliy before! When she lectured, she would take everything out of the text book, but then contradict what had already been printed in the text book! Also, there were questions on finals and midterms that had never been discussed before! AHH!!!!

Barb is a very nice person. She expects a lot. Very hard to get a good mark in her class. Her earrings are always interesting to look at though. Alright as a teacher, but sometimes forgets that we have other classes

she may be the head of the department, and she does know her stuff, she just cant teach it. plus, because shes the head of her department she expects us to know it all. she spend way too much time going over inconsequential things such as who has what gene pattern... not very helpful!!!

She is a very passionnate and intelligent person... who expects way too much from her students. The work load for ecology was insane! Class discussions were fruitless and frustrating, and concepts only became clear way after the fact. Very personable and helpful, but not very clear.

You have to learn how to link concepts together. Barbara is a teacher who is really interested in her students and their lives. One of the only teachers who understands that her students have lives. LOTS of projects that take a while to get back.
