She has a very poor teaching style. She is much more concerned about her extra circular activities (i.e.. hoddie orders and pizza parties) than she is teaching her class. She has a very poor and hypocritical attitude to her students; She demands that there be no cell phones in class, when she herself, sits on her cellphone during class tests.

There is a lot of information to cover in this course, consequently, if you don't show up to class, you'll fall behind very quickly. There is a lot of practical work done in class as well, which definitely helps with your understanding. She's responsive to questions and very knowledgeable. Tip: put your cellphones away during this class.

After completing Mrs. Tober's class for ACCT1130 last year, I was disappointed by the sheer lack of skill and competency for a supposedly Head of faculty member. I felt that any CPA level accountant could have done her job with no teaching experience. Mrs. Tober had no passion for this position and even seemed to have a gender basis. Men Beware!

Barrie is a great professor for those who want to learn. Do not fall behind as the course moves quickly through the information. She provides hands on assignments in class, as well as homework, which is taken up in class. She is very fair and easy to get along with, just show up to class and show respect. Cell phones away.

Courses are hard, but if you show up to class she will take time out of her day to help you until you fully understand the complicated topics. A word of advice. Make an effort to stay on her good side. Leave phones off in class. Use academic integrity. And finally, try your best!

Classes are very worth going to! She lectures then will often assign work based on that lecture to do during the class - then takes it up with you to explain how the answer should be reached. Can be a tad obsessive about decorum in class (no phones and so on), but be respectful and she is easy to get along with. Really not good to miss a class!

I was very happy my accounting teacher turned out to be great! Lots of hands on work in and out of class to help drill in the material. Very approachable and willing to help those who ask, but you must have good attendance to show you are trying.

I love Barrie; she's a great prof! She explains things clearly, she's personable and she's available for help. Students need to show initiative to get extra help if they need it, and she responds well to those who are making an effort in her class. She is everything I want in an accounting prof. Best ever!

Does not explain Anything! Doesnt review questions on quiz's and tests herself or to the class. Grumpy ...not approachable. 60% of class has dropped thr course due to her unprofessionalism and lack of clarity and care towards course materials. STAY AWAY!

horrible teacher does not know how to teach...walking out of the midterm I felt like I had just written a final FOR A DIFFERENT COURSE...do not take her section...she will not help you if you ask her...and I have no idea why she even shows up to exams, she won't even answer the simplest questions
