Great prof. Very traditional lecture style, no powerpoints. Very clear and makes a 3 hour class interesting. Tests were very easy as long as you read the chapters, as he doesn't cover everything in the lectures.

well, i had him a few years ago when I was in first year. All I can say is, I really didn't know what to expect with sociology.. but he made me laugh every class and I really enjoyed it because he has a really positive energy type thing going about him. He's really handsome, although, old enough to be my dad. imagine that. i'd recommend him!

Great prof for theory! Clear and well organized. Be prepared to work for your grade. If your 'sensibilities' are easily offended, he can be quite cutting and sarcastic. He has been known to make comments like "who has the PhD?" Outside of theory I found his classes to be unstructured, lacking clarity and focus, and incredibly biased.

Gives the clearest, best-organized lectures I've ever taken. He'll tell you a piece of information, then repeat it again a different way, so you have two chances to catch it. Uses illustrative stories sparingly but effectively. Makes theory fascinating!
