Horrible professor, most of the homework are really hard to understand (the instructions on the homework are also messed up). ASU 101 suppose to be a fun class for freshmen, but this is not apparently.

Horrible teacher. He firmly believes in filling the '2 hours of homework per 1 of class." Have to do useless busy work. Grading system is messed up and confusing. The way he posts assignments and directions are so confusion because of the language he uses is overly technical. Uses a timer at the beginning of class and sticks to it.

Wow.. this guy sucks.... he has probably one of the most ridiculous grading system. When I missed ONE day, he took off 5% of my final grade. He grades on how well you "meet the requirement" rather than how good your work is. Also, if he doesnt like you, you can definitely tell. He fails to see students below the surface. Very shallow.

Dr McNeil was the professor of a core engineering class I took in 1978. 32 years later I realize how important his class was to me as a stress engineer and I had the honor of telling him that several years ago. Extremely easy class. About a hour homework a week. class is alittle boring but you get easy in class points. Dr. McNeil explains things really good.

Believes his class should involve 40 work hours per week and be treated as a full time job, which is great unless you happen to work a real job or take other classes. Cryptic and unfair grading system (one 'unacceptable' project can fail you regardless of other scores). It's all busywork, writeups, and checklists with no actual knowledge learned.

Barry is hung up on the system of grading not teaching anything of any value. 4 text books were all of little value. The coursework was mostly busy work. We turned in garbage and got As and we had to resubmit work that we spent literaly dozens of hours preparing. Very inconsistent, not recommened.
