YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN. He is a fair marker, and an interesting character. Other than that, his input is quite indirect and leaves you puzzled. He wants you to learn by yourself instead of being taught. In the end I did not learn much from him, but shared some good laughs.

There's a difference between being up-front and just being plain mean. He's very critical and will rip your assignment apart (figuratively). Very offensive and can have a biased attitude. Can be a rude awakening. Also very indirect with his explanations, he goes on rants and by the end of it you're not really sure what he just answered.

He was my first studio prof and I gotta say, it was interesting. He's quite a character and has a particular sense of humour-not for ppl who are easily offended. His crits-tells you how it is (no sugar coating). Overall he is knowledgable but his rants can get confusing and he's not always clear w/ deliverables. Glad I had him tho: reality check

1: he wont spoon feed you, u gotta help yourself 2: He's difficult to understand but if you take the time to listen to him you will learn a lot. 3: He is a difficult marker but one who appreciate and sees hard work. These are the traits that make him a great prof, and I'm more than grateful to have had him for 1st year. He is a hidden gem.

CLEARLY TIRED OF TEACHING, will not help. Wants to put minimum effort on his part. Quick to criticize on what you dont know while during a lecture he didnt even know how to zoom in-and-out a Microsoft Word document, ironic! YOU NEED A GOOD GROUP OF FRIENDS FOR THE PROJECT, HELP EACH OTHER COZ HE WONT HELP YOU. Not inspirational so don't expect it.

Very Useful Subject. B.Z. helps you learn if you really want to learn the topic. Hard Exam in combination with a difficult project. Not 100% transparent when it comes to requirements, but if you want a job after your school this is the course you want to know inside and out. This course will guarantee your employment.

I must say that I think he was totally unproffesional and during the lecture he just lost track 100 times and started talking about something totally different. So in the end we did not cover eveything we were suppose to. He is pretty entertaining though but I would have prefeared a professor with more knowledge.

Baruch has got to be the most approachable and straight-forward professor at Ryerson. He is extremely talented when it comes to design, and is excellent with technical and environmental issues. He has a great sense of humour and made my thesis experience both fun and rewarding.
