Class is boring, teacher is very unoriginal and very hard to understand. tests are from power points and group presentations. no attendence policy. i hardly ever went to class and got a B. not a great class but theres not a lot of work required. I wish I someone else but it was tolerable

Very nice guy, however the class is extremely boring. Anyone who thought this class was hard is ridiculous. If you read the chapters he tells you to then you'll do fine. Project is a pain but if done correctly should net you a good grade.

THE worst class at JMU I have taken thus far. He is hard to understand, grades hard, and does not make the subject interesting at all. If you can get out of it now, do it.

kinda subversive at first, but i provided counterpoints to all arguments for a while, then he became very tolerable, still don't know how he figured out my name, speak up in class, he likes that, really not too bad,

Even though sometimes class seems a little boring, he really cares about the subject matter and has an excellent understanding of it. He has an accent, but his english is very good. He is very articulate. Go to class, pay attention and do the study guides and you'll do great.

Prof. is funny and was honestly one of my favs., but subject was boring. He tells good stories. 2 tests, 1 project, and 1 paper the whole year. Project is a lot of work, but graded fairly easily. Tests are hard. Lectures basically everyday. Still a really good professor.

I thought that since he is from Kenya he would make the class more interesting, but I didn't enjoy the class at all. He will ask questions but not make any encouraging remarks after you answer. He is also hard to understand. I'd look for another teacher.

Interesting classes because of his perspective. Easy group project. HARD TESTS. Don't pay attention to the study guides, they will only mess you up. Grades essays hard too. Good professor that expects a lot from his students.

Dr. Ngala is awesome! His stories from Kenya are entertaining and provide good examples for material. His tests are very fair, and he is very focused on you learning something, not necessarily for he grade. VERY good class!
