Wonderful, good lectures, light homework. Has a very good way of teaching that makes it difficult to not understand. Make sure you do plenty of practice examples before exams. There are quizzes at the beginning of class rather than homework.

He's not bad but not great. Quizzes every class, and will run into situations where he doesn't give you enough time to finish or check your work because he gives you too many problems. He should learn to either cut back or give you more time. Time management isn't that hard.

Brooks is one of the best professors I've ever had, I took him for Diff Eq and I enjoyed and looked forward to coming to class today, he is also super accessible and helpful outside of class for help. Can't recommend enough, he's also hilarious and creates a great classroom environment, and is very clear about tests and quizzes, no surprises

Dr. Brooks is amazing professor! He does give a quiz everyday but they are useful since you keep up with the material; furthermore, he is very clear in teaching and funny. I would recommend him for any class; he is a truly passionate professor.

Great professor. He was able to explain everything clearly, but expect a quiz everyday, if you are taking math-231 (Differential Equations). None of the homework is required so this is his way of getting grades in and making sure students understand the material.

If you go talk to him during office hours he's helpful. The midterm was open book and open notes, easy. The final was take home and slightly more challenging. Be prepared to use Excel a lot in this class and be prepared to read the textbook. Otherwise you're going to have trouble with the homework. HW was pretty short each week,

BAD. He goes through pointless complicated examples only to lose you in boredom. Great one on one. Horrible in a lecture setting. Not recommended. Moves quickly and doesn't even teach. DIdnt learn a damn thing from him. Three tests are your whole grade. Final counts for too much. you're screwed if you bomb

One of the worst professors I've ever had. He typed up all of the notes and simply read them off the projector. It was hard to follow and he almost never did examples. Also the final was 80% of the grade.

Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. Canadian, so you know he is insanely nice. Bags of milk and rivers of chicken fat... lol (insider)... "I stop and I ask how does this sit with you and you say...?" ... "Plain vanilla"... "Add one to the exponent divide by whats up top... now that your safely outside the bottle neck of integration."

An outstanding professor. Explains concepts in much the way I think. Appropriate for the whole spectrum รข€" will not bore the best students or leave the worst behind. Will help you the best he can. Funky grading scheme where 80% of the grade is from 2 tests (or one is you choose to skip the optional mid-term).

He is the best teacher I've ever had throughout my education. He doesn't have favorites, rarely praises individual work (a good thing), and doesn't discriminate against slackers. He is very lenient with giving points on exams. Also, he spends the break (10 min) helping people and answering questions. He also answers questions during the lectures.

Brooks is easily the best professor i've had while at RIT. He is very helpful, willing to re-explain anything during class if you ask, and during workshop he will help you. He tends to ask further questions to make you think about it more, instead of providing the answers. He lets you go early a lot of the time and is very laid back and funny!

Awesome teacher. Very good at answering questions. I transferred from a different Calc class into his because I heard he was fantastic. The rumors were accurate. Take good notes and study your notes before tests and you will do fine. Great sense of humor and an interesting guy to talk to! Highly recommended!

Canadian Professor is absolutely fantastic. I am terrible at math and he made complex integrals seem within the realm of reasonable computation. =P Also, he is hilarious. If you don't pick up on Canadian humor you'll miss it, but Canadian Professor cracked me up all quarter. Every other thing he says is an easily missed joke. Fair grader. Take him!

He's a good teacher! I was registered late and my advisor fit my schedule for the first quarter so I didn't know most of my professors before attending class for the first time. Now I feel I'm so lucky to have him as my calculus teacher!!!
