Comment:

This is by far the worst learning experience Ive ever had. If I hadnt previously taken a course successfully in my online MBA program (to compare this one to), I likely would have withdrawn and/or transferred because of the lack of actual teaching,the repeated technological issues, and sporadic communication from this instructor.

Her teaching style is often times trying to make students feel dumb for asking questions or not knowing the answer. She is very sassy. And you pretty much have to teach yourself the material. Be prepared for lots of homework.

She didn't teach our class anything. SI and working on your own is the only way to learn anything in this class. Her homework is very helpful for tests but she doesn't teach. This class could pretty much be online except she probably wouldn't post the notes. If you have to take her, be prepared to work hard for your A.

There's a lot of work in this class but it's not particularly hard and there's extra credit for it as well. I got 100% on my homework grade, not knowing accounting before this class. Tests are somewhat difficult, but again there are extra credit points available for each test as well. Go to SI..it was very helpful. I would recommend Ms. Willis.

Comment:

It's accounting. You either get it or you don't. If you actually do the exercises BEFORE class, she will like you and you'll get extra points that really help. It's funny when she gets mad when no one does them. The tests are kinda hard, but if you go to the SIs and do the handouts, you'll make an A. AND she always wears cute outfits! Take Willis!!

I would highly recommend her. Very very nice lady, keeps class varied and interesting, provides a million practice handouts, classwork sheets, lists, and SI handouts to help you learn. Just be warned that daily class requirements are reading, classwork from book, classwork from her packets, and homework. You will definately learn accounting!

Mrs. Willis is always prepared, always has real life examples, and always gets the class involved wiht her teachings. She is the most amazing teacher I have had in college and truely cares about the lives of her students. She worked hard to get me a part time job in the field and really cares.

THE BEST teacher at BU! SO understanding, helpful, sweet, kind, a friend. You learn much and enjoy it eventhough it is tough. Must do homework to keep up. Visit her in her office- she wants to help you learn it. A+++++++!!!
