Wrote about 4 official papers/projects for this class and they were all over interesting topics. The books she chose were very interesting. Her class discussions and in-class writings were over topics that engaged 100% of the class so she makes participation easy. She likes to make her class laugh. Very good at clear feedback also.

Do the work get an A. There are 10 quizzes and you get 3 attempt on each one and it gives you the answers after the first attempt so its impossible to not get a 100 on those. There are 10 discussion post and those are standard. And 5 essays that are standard difficulty they are easy grader. Overall if you do everything and try you'll get a A

This class did not have a high work load and was a great learning opportunity to strengthen my writing skills. The teacher was always super quick to grade and easy to get in touch with. I highly recommend trying out this online class with Professor Bettacchi, it was great.

I tried to reach out to her a handful of times because I had a question about an essay and she never replied. Hard to reach outside of class unless you actually go to her. Very kind though. Just do the papers and show up the last few days for your final and you'll pass. Didn't really give much feedback for our papers.

Professor Bettacchi is actually a very kind person. Her class is easy to pass as long as you do the work she gives you. Personally I don't think what she taught during class had any meaning with any of the papers she asked us to write. Random topics as well. I wouldn't take her again because she doesn't prepare you for ENGL 1302.

Online Course: She is a very easy grader, however, I felt I did not learn much. The discussions are not hard to understand. I had done 5 essays and they were fairly graded for someone who is terrible at writing papers.

Prof. Bettacchi is very sweet! Her assignments are simple and she is an easy grader, but sometimes she does announce extra things over blackboard. She was very kind and cares about her students greatly. If you do the work, you will make an A. Offers extra credit.

It is so simple to make an A in this class, just do your work and also she has a lot of extra credit to give. If I had a question she answered it really well, from time to time when I see her I still talk to her.

Comment:

Bettacchi is an amazing professor that is there for her students. She is always available for the smallest of questions you might have and explains everything perfectly. There are several HW assignments but if you take your papers to the writing lab you get extra credit and you are almost guaranteed an A if you do so. Take her you won't regret it.

Worst!! By the end of the class, she doesn't upgrade all the grades and she gives you a wrong final grade and when you complain, she gives u a slightly higher grade. If you are doing an online class, don't take her class!!

Not exactly the most qualified Composition teacher ever, but a very sweet lady and easy grader. Forgot to do the final powerpoint presentation and was able to do it while in class and presented it and still made a 100. Do the work get a 100. Dont do the work and get a 50. Easiest grader ever. DOES NOT PREPARE YOU FOR COMP II.

Bettacchi is fantastic as an english professor. You feel her passion when she lectures. She's super sweet and wants you to succeed. I bought the book and never used it. The novels she has you read though you do need to purchase. She does a lot of open book quizzes.

She made us write 3 papers, 1 in class writing, 1 presentation on a short story we did not talk about in the class. she let talk about our opinion. we had very constructive discussion in the class. the two novels we read this semester pretty cool. She is very forgetful but i am happy with the grade i got.

She NEVER answers e-mails and her directions are unclear. She takes forever to grade, so you never know if you are doing it right, by then its too late. English is my strongest subject so I made out with a B however, she did not give a grade for discussion participation (clearly required in syllabus) Need A's when points are required for program.

This was an online class. Not a good teacher! She does not answer emails or questions posted on discussion board. Assignments are not hard, but if student has question it is hard to get in touch with professor. However, I did pass with a B.
