Really invested in you passing the class. Her grading requirements and criteria were very clear, and she took the time to go through assignments and give detailed answers and insights. Took a practical, real-world approach with med term but still made it accessible to those not already familiar with the medical field. Would definitely take again!

Betty seems like a nice lady. She is clear on the grading scales. She tests using NCLEX questions, but likes to change the answers to NCLEX questions to fit HER views of right and wrong. She tests using NCLEX questions that are NOT a part of the text. Her tests are timed at 2 minutes/question. Better know your stuff cold. Glad I can self educate.

first it seems hard. understand how to use the book and the outline and you will get an A. She is really nice and had an interest in my life. Genuinely email her asking how she is doing, she will show an interest in you. She also gave me hints on how to succeed in her class. A very brilliant woman, years of experience. a lot of exams be prepared!

One of the most confusing online classes I have ever taken. The assignments were complicated (not by content but by due dates and requirements), and the course calendar was full and unclear. She is organized and seems nice, but has a ridiculous amount of things due with very strict steps you have to take to complete them. Many steps.

A pretty hard class but if you do all the work and take your time its not that bad. I got a B. She is helpful and supportive. I took pharm online and would recommend this class to anyone. She does a great job preparing students for clinicals. I don't know why she received such bad marks here. Probably because people were lazy. Just do the work.

Worest instructor ever! I will never advise anyone to take her classes....EVER. The hardest and most vauge, off-the-wall, incomprehensible, FLIGHTLY flake. She requires an overloaded of drug cards in an outdated format. Rn who has no idea how to answer questions from her students or teach them! She will overload you with busy work.

Don't take this class unless you're desperate for the credit. She counts for spelling, however, she cannot spell!! Always more work than any 1 cr/hr class should contain. She lacks people skills...unfortunately an instructor never said to her what she says to her students! I'm just grateful she's not providing patient care!?!?

This woman is just plain rude! She doesn't think any student is worthy of joining "her profession." The syllabus reads that if you don't do well in this class you're probably not cut out for being a nurse!! She treats students like we should already know the material!!

I took Pharm online & the reading required is overwhelming! We had about 200 pages to read in just 4 days. Her test questions are based on her nursing experience, not what the book teaches. There were MANY errors in her quizes and tests. Only 5 points extra credit. Very little instruction, only an outline of the book which isnt enough for her tests

Don't take her!!!!!! Her tests are horrible and confusing. For a 1 credit class her tests and quizes were some of the hardest i've ever taken. Way more difficult than it needed to be.

Betty is a great teacher! She expects alot of her students but no more than their patients will expect once they get into the field. She is helpful, and caring. Loved this class absolutely recommend Betty Rickey!

I took her online class and did well. You need to read and pay attention to the requirements. I think she seemed fair, very quick to get back to you in email, very willing to help. I haven't met her in person, but I got a good vibe (if that's possible through a computer!)

I took this class online and it was ok. You definately have to study for the tests. Her questions can be veiwed in different ways, so be careful. If you're not thinking critically (aka like Betty thinks) you'll choose the wrong answer. She makes a lot of mistakes in her text too, even though she grades you tough for having correct grammer!

Betty is nice enough, but her tests are bad. You need to know everything you can, but you also have to learn not to think like a nurse, but think like Betty.
