Bill is a very solid prof. He provides excellent notes and his labs can be challenging, but I never found myself not able to do them. Hes very open to questions and cares about class performance. If you read his notes and do the labs you'll be prepared for the exam. Just a very nice and easy going prof.

Good class. Depending on your level of previous XHTML/CSS experience, you may find it very easy or hard. Personally I found it very easy, but the Javascript provided a bit more of a challenge, though managable since I had a tiny bit of experience with programming. Bill is a nice guy, and is helpful.

Comment:

A very good teacher, has clear notes and usually easy to understand labs. Only way you won't get an A+ in the course is if you don't do the labs. I studied for not even 15 minutes for the midterm and got 97%. Definately has a different sense of humour but still funny in his own way.

Easy going in the classroom. He expects deep thought before question period, especially outside office hours, so watch your step. Make sure you are clear in your writing and coding. Bill gets ill if you don't indent properly. You may never know what will be worth the most marks on an assignment. Sometimes you loose silly marks.

Loved his sarcasm and his many lecture slides. Assignments require tons of work and often he doesn't teach what you need for them until near the due date. His tests have major questions, giving you a chance to make up for botched ones. Quite lenient. If you need an extension, ask - you're likely to be pleasantly surprised. Hope to see him again.

Marks assignments very slowly, he's also a tough marker. Eg: If your program works 99% of the time, but fails in 1 case, he will deduct roughly 50% of your mark. He knows a lot, but seems reluctant to share with students.

He seems like one of those instructors where the students know more than him. His exam is hilarious... i got 48/50 % for the first half of the course... then came the 50% final exam and my marks took a dive. He is frustratingly slow. I would not take his course again...
