Comment:

Does not care about the class at all! Goes off on rants often. The powerpoint slides do not make any sense and you cannot review the material later because of this. It is true he curves everyones grade a whole letter grade at the end of the semester but all the frustration and confusion during the semester isn't worth it.

A very genuine guy that cares about the students that try. He curves the class very well at the end of the semester so receiving a fair grade is not difficult.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Awful teacher, tests are brutal, and class is all activities that you have to teach yourself. Basically no lecture or education coming from Bill or Jen, expect to teach yourself absolutely everything.

If you can avoid this class, do. The structure has completely changed since the other reviewers took it. You read the book online, take quizzes, and then in class you do busywork activities with a group, with very little instructions given. There is zero lecture, leaving you utterly baffled as to what will be on the tests, which are a nightmare.

the honors section of this class was crazy easy. we did two projects all semester and and he ended up giving us all a's. class got pretty bogged down in graphs and charts and technical stuff, but was still kind of interesting. mostly global warming info.

We watched very interesting PowerPoints and had no homework or tests. He told us we'd all get A's halfway through the semester because most of us showed up most of the time. Easiest class I have ever taken. And he's hilarious and a great presenter. However, I know if I had to have been tested on anything he presented-I'd have failed.

Poor guy, he gets so much slack. Sure he talks fast and relies on Powerpoints. But he knows what he is talking about. He loves teaching, and he loves students who ask questions. He has a difficult sense of humor, you really can't tell when he is joking. He's a good guy though, and a good teacher.

I dont know why everyone has so much beef with this guy. Yea, tests are hard but hes extremely fair and theres a HUGE curve (one test I got a 32/50 and that was an A). You get out of class early everyday, hes somewhat funny in a different way, and as long as you print off and take good notes youll be fine. The lab section helps. Good teacher.

Go to class b/c he give EC sometimes just for being there. Print off notes way in advance to take all of them to class b/c he goes way to fast to write everything down. Makes sure you fill in all the blanks on the notes and take some extra notes. Don't study the old test to much, go to study reviews. Test are hard, but he gives a fat cruve. My 1st

Total ass. Cocky, but why? His tests are impossible and his classes are obscure. Has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Hates teaching and mostly hates his students. Avoid like canned meat.

Test are hard if you don't study! He grades on a curve so that is always good (believe me!!)! Look at notes on black board before class! He goes through the notes during class but does not give you enough time to write things down! Go to the study sessions and ask questions!! Overall nice teacher!

Johnson's class is hard and stupid. He talks so fast, and is completely dependent on his stupid PowerPoint and lazer pen. His tests are hard and provide an un fair assessment. I attended class all the time and learned nothing.

Pretty good teacher. If you want to learn about trade winds and dirt in geog 104, take the class from this guy. He'll test you on absolutely anything and everything...which calls for long study hours, but there's no homework and he grades on a curve.

Funny professor, ends class early more than any other professor I've had. He does the best anyone can do to make GEOG 104 interesting. Don't bother buying the (very expensive) book, just go to class and take good notes.
