Comment:

Dr. Kelly is a sweet guy! He didn't have a good teaching style except saying whatever comes to mind, so go to class to learn material and when the tests are. I found his tests easy except when he would ask question about his opinion (which he never would tell us in class). Other then that, easy if you go to class and study what he emphasizes.

Comment:

Dr. Kelly has very dry humor. If you don't attend class you will not pass at all. the syllabus he gives you will have all the space you need to take notes. It is more of an outline of each class. He will test you on things strictly on Alabama and you have to listen to all of his stories because the test questions are more of what he says in class.

The best teacher!! I loved him. His class was boring, but he is the sweetest person ever. He is so old and cute.

Comment:

Dr. Kelly is great. He knows his stuff and is glad to help clarify anything you may not understand. Go to class and take good notes, and you will do fine in this class. I would not recommend skipping, but he does not have an attendance policy. If you don't go to class, the tests will definitely be more tricky for you. Highly recommend this class.

He spends about half of the class lecturing and the other watching a video. We watched part of a video about George Wallace every class. The lectures tend to ramble making the class seem longer than it is. He does review before every test and basically gives out all the questions and answers to the tests.

Loved this class and taking him again next semester! Usually does a lecture for half the class and a video for the other half. Person below me must have really goofed off because he literally tells you exactly what questions are on the test. If your friend has a textbook don't buy one because he will usually just have 1-2 questions from it.

Making an A is possible but only if you pay close attention to his rambling lectures that don't really seem to get anywhere. He is very old and repeats himself often which can sometimes be confusing. I'm going to get a B in this class just because I didn't listen close enough to test review days right before the tests. Attendance is a must to pass.

One of the best teachers I've had in a while. He does tend to repeat himself, but he makes the material clear for those who are not completely familiar in American Gov't. Tests are clear and precise. His views seem liberal, which is refreshing. Given the opportunity, I would take another one of his classes.

He is slightly boring, but the class is an easy A. don't under study though. tests can be tricky. To study, i took all my notes and handouts and put them into question form. on two of the tests i made 100% but, as easy as class is, you do have to study for the test and go to class.

I had Dr. Kelly about 15 years ago at SUJC while attenting Auburn. He made the class very interesting and truly enjoys what he does and is indeed interested in student performance. Before graduating from Auburn, I had to complete a mandatory internship. Dr. Kelly helped me secure a US Senatorial Internship that employers respect and admire.

Dr. Kelly is great! I will be taking as many of his classes as possible! Definitely recommend him. Test are straight from the lectures, and we watch tons of movies. He also loves to make jokes (that are actually funny) and understands that his class isn't every student's number one priority.

Mr Kelly's class is an easy A and attendance is not mandatory. The catch is after the 2nd test no one comes to class so for the final he makes the test hard to where if you weren't in class you could not make a good grade! Go to every class after the second test bc he will not review for the final! do that and get an A. Don't by the book either!

Really easy class! Had 2 tests besides the final, & I made a 78 on one, so I ended up with a B-VERY possible to make an A. Watched a movie almost every class, but they are interesting if you are interested in what you are learning about. He's kind of strange & repeats everything 3 or 4 times, but he makes a lot of jokes & makes it worth your time!

Dr. Kelly is really funny and fun to listen to. Although I am extremely interested in the subject he taught I still learned A LOT! He tells you what is going to be on the test. Also, even though going to the class is NOT MANDATORY at all, you should still GO everytime! The notes are very important and he asks questions from the movies you watch.

Dr. Kelly is one funny man!! His class can be boring but watching and listening to him will keep you laughing. There is no reason to fail this class...all you do is take notes for about 30 mins. then watch a random historic movie. I recommend this class esp. for a GPA booster!
