The best prof even theoretically possible. The man showed up for a early morning lecture after having surgery at 4AM. Most dedicated, caring person at any university for my money. Made a subject I hated a must-attend. Offered to help even after the 2nd prof took over. Just imagine every good thing a prof could do, and thats him. A god amongst men.

Seems like a nice guy, but he has his priorities for how much time he spends on the content all wrong. He spends 4 weeks on review then tries to teach all the new hard content in a week. Also his APSC131 final is all thermo and that is bullcrap because there is more to the course than just thermodynamics!

Newstead baby, you're the bomb .com. One of the best prof's of first year, genuinely cares about the class, always available to give a helping hand. All assessments are fair, and he does drop hints during lectures (so make sure to go!). Made 8:30 am classes not half bad.

Everybody seemed to be pretty in love with Newstead, but I disagree. While I found him to be a good professor who is very enthusiastic, I would sometimes get confused by his explanations and the midterm he gave us was just unreal. But pretty good otherwise
