Comment:

Bill is one of the nicest professors you will come across; he is very knowledgable and helpful. His classes do require some work, the seminar entailed two 10-15 page papers and a presentation. He's a reasonable marker; however, he marks heavy on grammer.

Comment:

Very nice guy and one of my favorite profs. He gives long assignments but is a very easy marker. Adult development and aging was the first class I took (MC tests and paper) with him which I liked much better than counseling older adults (all long papers). Very funny and will definitely keep you entertained. You won't regret taking his classes.

Bill is one of the best Profs Ive had at STU! He's a great prof and an amazing person. He encourages discussions & has guest speakers. He does assign lengthy papers 10-15 pg but you have choice and they are interesting to write. As for the readings, everything is discussed in class. I would recommend this class & any class he teaches!

Not a good prof at all. His class lectures revolve around stories of his childhood and are completely off topic, yet he expects you to know SO MUCH for his tests. I'm currently studying for my midterm and its 9 complete pages of terms we didn't get the chance to cover in class because he was too busy with his head in the clouds.

I've taken many Gero classes with Randall.The time in class was spent very poorly.If a textbook is required for the class you will spend class time talking about what part you liked/didn't like.If there is no required textbook then he provides the readings,they often are unrelated to the course topic.Papers he only cares about grammar,marks hard

Can't say enough good things about Bill. He's my absolute favorite. So funny and and kind. He makes me want to come to class! And the class is cake if you attend and listen. He gives you the notes too. I don't know how anyone gets anything less than an A.

B. Randall is so witty and enjoyable to listen to. The classes were easy because he pre-typed all the notes and just read through it every class! It was cool because I got to write about problems im going to have in old age, and it got me thinking about some serious stuff. Amongst my other hard psych courses, it was nice to relax in this one :)

THIS MAN ROCKS! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He is so brillant too, he loves what he does. Loves to be researching new things. Appreciates opinions and views. Can't go wrong. He is interested in his students and is also concerned with what their plans are for after school. One of STU's finest!

His narrative gero course was wonderful and I got a lot out of it. His real life experience and knowledge bring a lot to the classroom and he is a very approachable man. He has a great sense of humor but can be serious too. He brought his parents to school for a class and it was the single most meaningful moment for me in my academic career.

I love this man! He is intelligent, spirited and passionate about his teaching and research. He shows a genuine care for each individual's progress and is SO easy to sit down and talk to about anything!
