Does not explain stuff as well as Hildreth but he is more down to earth and his classes are a little easier. Tells a lot of corny that sometimes are funny but most often not. At first you laugh with him but by the end of the semester you may be laughing at him. If you come class, take notes, study, and do the work you should het an A or B.

Outstanding! One of the Best I've had. Very friendly and knowledgable. I recommend him Highly. Exams and quizzes are easy. Some rude people sleep during class snoring loudly; Dr Smith just raises his voice and talks over them. If you want to learn astromony, then take Dr. Smith at Chabot college and you won't be disappointed.

this is like the sweetest grandpa you could ever imagine. I took astro 10 thinking it will be an easy A... definitely was wrong... He is very monotoned, and the class is dark and full of people that are only taking the class for an A... So if you stay awake and do well on the quiz's u will do fine... and Extra credit got me from a C to an A so yah

By far one of the best and most knowlegable science teacher I ever had! The class itself (Astro 10), isn't exactly an easy A. There are many terms to remember but he makes the class very interesting. He is incredibly humble and understanding, and grades fairly on homework and tests! Doing Extra credit online quizzes can help your grade big time!

This is not a class where you will get an easy A! You have to work hard for your grade. Hes a good teacher but he does not grade on a curve. Exams are pretty tough but if you invest time studying you will do well. He is fair about making up and homework, but watch out for weekly quizzes. Hes a tough teacher that knows his material beware of quizes

He's cool.. lectures in the planetarium w/ lights low and has a soft voice so a lot of people fall asleep. But I'm not the type who could easily sleep in class. Homework everyday, mostly busywork. Tests on lectures which are pretty difficult. I ended up with a C though I belive I deseve a B.. :(

He's a kind guy that know his material. He grades easy and the notes can be taken right out of the website. Sometimes there are take home quizzes too. It is really hard to stay awake in that class because of the comfy chairs and the dark room. It just puts you to sleep. Overall good teacher.

Oh my God, talk about nap time! Everytime he talks, it's like he wants u to go 2 da back and sleep. His tests are hard too, da homework doesn't help u study for the test. There's just too much to study. He doesn't help you much. I highly not reccomending this class. He simply is tough.
