I'd say a rather typical professor... tries to be interesting, but ends up being dorky. I will admit that his star trek and "my pet rat" explanations were actually pretty clear.

Clear in material presentation, everything is very cut and dry. As a person he is cold and uncaring and gets very angry if his particular views are disagreed with. Not the most tolerant of people and teaches his views as gospel and chastises those who disagree

Comment:
Prof. Fudge is a very smart guy, but not the best professor in terms of teaching. He doesn't seem to care who's in class and what their names are. Sort of cold outside the classroom too. AND his final exam is a killer!

Extremely easy class. All common sense. Prof. Fudge wants his students to do well and is always available. material isn't always interesting.

Comment:
The material is reasonably interesting but, outside the part on informal fallacies, probably not all that useful for most future professions. Fudge doesn't really have an overly friendly personality but he was reasonably courteous and helpful when I visited his office hours. Work load is fair.

This class can get boring and interesting in the same lecture. Fudge is intelligent, but make sure you pay attention to what hes saying, otherwise theres no point cramming in the last minute. This material requires work.

Everything on the midterm he went over in class. There's really no need to even go over the readings. I think he's a very nice guy, and he is a great teacher!

I thought Professor Fudge was awesome (had him for summer session). You really have to pay attention, but as long as you do that and put some work into it you can do fine on the midterm and final.

His final is killer and tricky. I walked in with a B+, came out with a C+. That's bull, considering I studied about 7 hours for it.

His material seems easy but his tests will kill you. His questions are the most ridiculous ones I've ever seen. He must sit in his office trying to think of how trick his students. Avoid his classes

First thing is first, he is impossible to get ahold of. His style is fairly dry, I actually fell into deep sleep a couple times. He is rather impersonal, and leaves you wiht lots of questions about the material and the class.

I don't know where all of these good reviews are coming from...Fudge is awful. He's boring and he doesn't even understand his own exercise questions. A jerk out of the classroom too. Avoid him.

Comment:
He writes the textbook himself so it's identical to his lecture notes. There's not too much work involved, just exercises he RECOMMENDS you do and 1 3-4 page paper (plus a midterm and final of course). If you go to class and pay attention, it's not bad.
