Fleming is a really nice guy. I thought this class was going to be pretty chill. He makes us sit & meditate for the first 5 minutes. Barely took notes because he literally just talked the whole 3 hours. Tests consisted of making counseling videos & pretty hard open note written exams. Barely puts up grades on sakai & does not email back

Comment:

Odd sense of humor, but he loves students who give it back. Knows what he's talking about and can elaborate when needed. Only gave 4 tests and one paper. I never needed the textbook because I went to class, his powerpoints had all the necessary info and the textbook gave things he didn't test. Gave extra credit on each exam.

Exams are hard and the only grades besides one easy project. Material is not presented in an interesting way and many times the things he says are not politically correct. Not an easy A, but easy B

This class is just a supplement to the 50 hr internship. He's really relaxed, doesn't care if you come to class, and wants you to do well. You complete a journal every week, as well as 3? papers. All the due dates are whenever you get them done. He's also a nice guy, and if you do go to class, you'll talk about deep topics, which are interesting.

This class is not informative and I found it very uninteresting. He does not know anything relevant to the subject. He doesn't take attendance, so you don't get credit for showing up. What is discussed in class is different than what is on the tests. Gives pointless assignments when class is cancelled and does not grade anythingpost any grades.

3 exams, 1 paper, and an optional final. He's quirky and hilarious. Attendance isn't a must, but class is interesting and funny so why not. Never read the textbooks, you should be fine with just taking notes; he puts the slides online. One of the most understanding professors ever.

He is passionate about his subject, and he seems like a nice guy, but he is a lazy professor. Tests are literally word for word from the textbook, and I'm not sure he's ever felt the need to check his email. Definitely take this class for the ridiculously easy A, but don't expect to learn much actual material.

great great teacher! really loves what he teaches and passionate. class was pretty easy, he sends out his powerpoint slides which is super helpful and exams are multiple choice with some easy short answers. great class for grade booster and the material is SO interesting (if you are into learning about disabilities) TAKE HIM!!!!!

Great class. 3 hours, but he never makes you stay the whole time. Two exams, and some homework's that are opinion based. Definitely recommend. He loves his job and makes the class enjoyable

I had Dr. Flemming for 270 & 470. A lot of people call him disorganized, or say he goes off into philosophical rants and doesn't actually teach you anything. The key to doing well in his class is honestly just showing him that you're thinking. When he grades, he doesn't look for "right" answers. I've enjoyed his classes and learned things too!

Cool teacher, he has his jokes which make class go by a bit faster..has stories of his own that relate to material.. exams pretty straight forward.. reading the text is helpful... dsnt take attendance but be there for powerpoints even though he does send them out sometimes.. Overall good teacher, interesting course, no need to stray away
