Really good professor. His assignments are really good. The best part of the assignments is that they can be finished in one go if you are dedicated enough. His midterms are also student friendly. In totality, I would say that Brad is an excellent professor. I wish more professors follow his style of teaching.

One of the best profs I've had at SFU. Brilliant lecture material all on github so it's easy to go through DURING class while he lectures and tweak code yourself if you want. Assignments and tests were straightforward. Honestly guy deserves massive props for the way he ran that course

Brad is an excellent professor . He really takes lot of efforts to make the lectures in a practical manner. He is really accessible to his office hours and his assignments are pretty easy and makes us to understand concepts in a practical way. His exams are really great. if you understand the concept, you can score full.

A very solid choice for this course. Makes the work fairly straightforward and there are no surprises in terms of his exams and homework assignments. I actually learned some practical/useful things from the class, which is rare.

He is really disorganized and is always late to lecture. He spends most of lecture sitting down and just repeating what's on the slides but isn't good at making the material accessible.

Don't understand what he is talking in class. He speaks so fast. Reading textbook is more helpful. Terrible handwriting. Midterm 1 is easy, midterm 2 is hard.

Brad is a great person, you can tell. His ability to make the material simple for students is low. Midterms were simple, but the averages were outrageously high, so his final was impossible. Cross-reference marking with someone else-high % of errors from the stats workshop. Difficult class for students without strong stats background.

It's not difficult if put in the effort to understand the material. It helps to understand it during homework so you won't have to cram for the exams and to not rely too much on the cheat sheet. Not hard to get a B+ or A- just don't slack and go to class. He talks fast but if you keep up his lectures are pretty helpful

Brad is such a nice prof! He truly cares about his students and listens to their opinions. Exams are easy and the same as his practice questions! He also tells you what questions will be on the exam!

Very helpful if you go to his office hours. TA's are pretty much useless so his notes is really your backbone + his office hours. Hate the textbook but if you put the time into reading it, it's not TOO bad. HW was similar to the test so make sure you understand the HW!!

Stats with this guy was so easy. As long as you do know how to do the homework and do the practice exams you're good to go. Not hard to get an A.

From the first moments of this class it was loaded with jargon and very few plain language explainations or examples. However the assignments wern't bad and the exams were really easy if you did the practice exams. The text book is awful (and $200 with suspiciously few used copys around for a book published in the 80's). All in all an okay class.

The class is really boring (what do you expect it's stats). That being said Brad tries his best to make the material interesting but it doesn't help that his voice is somewhat monotone. His exams are REALLY easy as long as you do his practice exams provided. Also allowed a cheat sheet in the midterm and final :)

I thought he was a fair prof. The lecture material is boring and he tried cracking jokes to make it interesting. The assignments are in groups and you are allowed a cheat cheat for the final and midterm. He tells you what to expect; his exams are easy!! I definitely recommend him as a prof

I found Brad to be a really good professor. Although the lecture material is very dry, he tells you what will be on the exam and what you don't need to know. midterm was easy, average was 82. He's also very helpful and nice when it comes to not understanding something. Lecture notes are also very clear and concise.

You're allowed a cheat cheat on his midterm and final. Assign - 20%, midterm - 30%, final - 50%. If you screw up your midterm, final can be worth 80%..... material is awfully dry. Final was harder than expected.
