the worst class ever I barley past with a c and I worked my but off to get an b in his class. his accent will mess you up in his class. To get a higher grade then a d go to the writing center or tutoring for help because you will not understand him at all

Horrible teacher. He's a nice guy, but will literally read aloud an entire chapter of a text book. The class is like watching paint dry. He is a harsh grader, and makes it very difficult to do well. Don't take this class!

English is one of my favorite subjects, but I could not stand his class. I disliked it so much that I dropped his class. He did not explain assignments very well. Grades are mostly based on grammar. His lectures are useless. Not an easy teacher at all.

Very good instructor. He is definitely one of the hardest, but you will learn to be a better writer. As for his accent, what do you expect from someone who was educated in the British system-his English is impeccable though not what we're used to. He will also assist you when asked.

Is a good teacher, does care about his students, will help you edit your papers if you go to him and ask. grades really harshly, more grammar based than anything. If you arent a strong writer, I'd advise you NOT to take his class.

It's funny, he's been teaching for about 10 yrs and his class is still horrible. I dread it everytime that I have to attend. He never collects any of the work we do in class and he's never organized. Loses your assignments and everything! I better atleast get a B! lol. The way he speaks isn't the problem at all.

First of all, his english is not the problem. I believe he has a hard time explaining what he wants from his students regarding assignments. We pretty much did grammar usage the whole semester which I thought was pretty boring. I was expecting more readings of short stories and analytical conversations who poems. Don't expect to turn in much.

Yeah, his accent is pretty thick. But there is nothign wrong with his actual grasp of the language. Not a particularly difficult class, but not easy either. You will learn things, but you might be on your own for a lot of it. Try to give him a chance and get through that accent.
