Just started the online course 3 weeks ago and lets just say I have never felt more on my own compared to all the other online courses I have taken. The Moodle site is riddled with setup errors, including the group forum doesn't work. She takes at least two days to reply to emails, if at all. You really are on your own for this course

Comment:

Made microeconomics harder. We only had one actual class (Tuesday) that only lasted half hour or less. Notes aren't even useful so be ready to read a lot for quizzes and exams. She's a sweet and very nice lady though.

Comment:

Brenda is a very nice lady and can be very helpful if you ask her for it. But in general, her class is a waste of time. She basically only teaches for 30 minutes, one day a week. So your textbook will be your best friend!! Study the definitions and graphs as much as you can to prepare yourself for quizzes/exams. You gotta teach yourself.

We basically only had one (short!) class a week. The second was dedicated to learning excel. She read off her notes, which were also posted online. There were weekly quizzes (multiple choice online). I found she was funny, yet did not adequately cover the textbook material in her lectures. Access code not required.

I found Brenda's lectures to be very informative. The notes she provides tend to be pretty dry compared to what you need to know but if you pay attention to her lecture in class and add to the notes it will really help. She is very nice and helpful when it comes to questions and has even brought the class food on occasion. Really liked her.

Best instructor i have ever come across at nait. She replies email questions as fast you post them. Ask her any questions, she answers professionally to all of them. She stays in class to help you. Just listen to her lectures carefully, scoring in 80s and 90s is a piece of cake.

She's alright. I didn't do as well as i expected but she's a good teacher. Its just that the course has so much in it that it makes the workload heavy.

I had her twice a week and she basically only taught on Tuesday, it was a two hour class but I think it only went over an hour once, sometimes only half an hour, and Thursday was just a work period (with nothing to work on) so I never went. She basically just does a chapter a week. She's chill but hard to learn in her class.

Reiterating, just make sure you do the basic readings. The material was a little heavy, but she's great for answering questions and giving class time for projects. She also makes an effort to bring in real-world examples to complement topics in the textbook, which I found to be really helpful.

For ECON 1110, if you read the chapter and do the coursepack you're guaranteed an A! Brenda's notes are straightforward and she tells you exactly what you need to know for the exams. If you don't get an A in the class you probably didn't READ the chapter. She does NOT require you to have the latest version of the textbook nor buy the code.

She is a great teacher! Really helped me with everything! She is super nice and always answers your questions! She knows a lot about the course and brings out a lot of outside info (pay attention to the news aka The National Post she refers to a lot)
