Nice guy. but his flipped classroom didn't really work for me. It was nice not having class that often but it was harder for me to learn the material from a video. Heavy memorization but the SI is helpful

I'm not really a science person, but I needed a science credit , so I decided to take Zoology. His lecture videos are really nice because he explains everything in the notes. It's also nice because you are able to watch the videos as many times as needed. Also the SI for his class is extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Professor Burt.

I took Dr. Burt not knowing his class was a flipped classroom, meaning all the lectures were online and done outside of class, but honestly it was a blessing since his class is an 8am. You meet only on Wednesday unless theres a test then you meet Monday and Wednesday. His test arent that bad and quizzes are super easy.

Zoology was my favorite class. I took it at 8am MWF but he only made us show up on Wednesdays. All of the lectures are online and class time is only for important videos and quizzes to help you. This is kind of a class that you do at your own pace. Also, Dr. Burt is always there to help you. You will definitely pass as long as you put in effort.

This professor does not lecture at all. Everything you need to learn is online and it is a lot to memorize. The tests are hard unless you start studying early so beware of. The tests are the majority of the grade and the quizzes every week barely make the portion of the overall grade so if you do good on quizzes and fail tests, you'll fail.

If you're not good at science, get out now. There is an online quiz due every week over super long and very boring videos of him going through power points in a monotone voice. His lectures are short most of the time, but thats because he just goes over like 5 of the 50 words/topics that you have to know for that week.

Dr. Burt is a pretty awesome professor. For 407, he changes his scheduling a bit for the class, but in a good way by making it only 1 lecture per week. There is a quiz every lecture though, so make sure to show up. There is a big group project throughout the semester, but he's very helpful with it. Overall, fun and interesting class!

His class was hybrid. I only had to go one day of the week. You need a clicker for this course. You will take a quiz every time you meet. It's only five questions, therefore, you NEED to studyknow the material. His lecture videos are on D2L and he provides PowerPoint notes. If you take this course, you need to watch the videos!!

Literally love this dude. He's helpful, witty and extremely smart. You'll actually walk away with knowledge and want to learn more. He posts all his lectures online, and you only have to show up for class 1 day a week. So take a MWF. Reliable office hours. What are on his slides are what is on the tests. KNOW PICTURES.

He is very knowledgeable and interesting. The information on his presentations are available to be printed out or purchased from a local print shop, so you can spend time taking notes and listening rather than copying slides. Attendance is mandatory as there is a quiz at the start of class everyday. He also loves birds. I LOVED HIS CLASS!

Dr.Burt is a great professor. By far the best and most interesting professor I've had. His class is very informative but required quite a bit of studying if you want to maintain a high grade. After taking cell & molecular with canterberry, this class is definitely passable.

Dr. Burt is an EXCELLENT professor! The class is challenging but he kept my interest and he's really willing to help any and every student as long as they're willing to do the work. Just study and take notes and you should be fine. I definitely recommend him!

Although you will hear the word "bird" 50,000 times during this class, Dr. Burt is an excellent teacher. I absolutely hate science, and he still managed to keep my interest with his practical, real-life, and entertaining stories.
