-did not know stats at all, class was cancelled half the time I'd say for him to mark assignments/learn stats. Lectures were useless, it seemed like he was only 1 lecture ahead (but didn't even know the content). I left stats learning nothing ...all we did was calculate mean, median mode, SD (no joke). should never teach this course ever again.

The course sucks. But Brent is super nice and really just wants every one to do well. He had no TAs to help so I blame most of the problems of this course on that fact. Brent wasn't super clear in some of his explanations, and seemed not to know the material 100% himself sometimes, but he'd always get back to you with researched answers.

Brent is very helpful in a way that he will teach you to think. He is also very critical and think from many different angles. Definitely one of the nicest prof I've known. I just wish most profs are just like him. =)

Brent and Art are two of my fav profs! I've never really had Brent as a prof (except for lfs and grs) but he's such a kind person and is always willing to help, even with his busy schedule. Never looks down on you (maybe literally haha)and really puts an effort to know you as a person, not just another random student.

Nice guy, very understanding, and gives extension to every assignment. However, for a 3-credit course the work load is heavy. If you don't like group projects you shouldn't take this class. You never get your marks back... extremely slow marker, overall there were 5 assignments plus midterm and final. Memory aids are allowed in the exams
