Take his class! He wants students to do the homework and make an effort (just common sense), but if you do that, it's very easy to pass. He's always willing to go over something again if you have a question and is very patient and kind towards his students. I also spent a lot of time in class laughing at things he's say or do.

Professor Morris is an amazing teacher. He would go over things again and again until everyone said they understood the criteria. He would give plenty of warning about quizzes and test and would go over the material beforehand. It's mandatory to attend, he goes over new things every day. Even on review days.

Brian is a very thorough teacher.But his quirky personality may interfere with his interactions with students.He can come off as very picky.Regardless,I had very little knowledge in music theory and I feel like I learned a ton of information and I know that I learned it the right way thanks to Morris.If you're a beginner, he's the right guy

I can see how Morris could rub some people the wrong way, but as a teacher, he's very good and knows what he's talking about. He's very helpful (maybe TOO helpful) when one asks a question. As long as you show up and do the homework and really try to do well, he will love you. Overall, not a difficult class.

His way is the only right way. When asking a question he looks at you like you are crazy. He enjoys arguing to prove that he is always right. Granted he is very smart, but i believe he needs to take more time to listen to his students. Instead he gives them bad looks and tells them his way is always the right way.

Basically, Brian Morris is about as metal as a man can be. And I use the term liberally of course. I'll be the first to say that the "pseudo-yoga stuff" (known to some as stretching) really helps with my guitar playing, as it's something you, you know, use your body for.

Perhaps the best guitarist I've ever heard. His approach to teaching is unorthodox, but it's the most amazing thing you've ever seen. He is the nicest, most helpful teacher at GRCC, and if you ever take any music class, try to get him. Period.
