Extremely difficult to listen to. Exams are impossibly hard. Gives your nearly 100+ questions to memorize and throws 30 on the exam. Managed to make a possibly interesting course the worst one I ever took.

Very hard class, very knowledgeable teacher. Attend EVERY class, do the reading before hand, participate in class discussions, do the bonus assignment, and you will get a good grade. It won't be handed to you.

Incredibly difficult class, if you put in some effort it is possible to obtain a fair grade. This is a class for those who actually want to learn the material, not just get the credit. His office is always open, and he really knows his stuff. You need to have a comprehensive understanding of the material, 1 mark on exam may require 4 points.

He makes an interesting subject so boring I could cry. When he speaks, its as though he's bored with his sentence before it even comes out of his mouth. He does post all possible exam questions on the internet which is great. The exams require you to memorize everything word for word though or you don't get full marks.

I can't stand this man. He's teaching personality, when clearly he needs to go out and get one! after attending the first month of classes I have ceased to go because he is no help at all. I took personality beecause I thought it was interesting, however he chose all the texts, which are garbage. I can't understand how this man is still teaching.

After looking at these ratings, I thought I'd give the class a try. I regret it. I cannot understand a word he says - everything is monotone. There is no class outline, nothing specific to learn, yet exams are specific short ans. questions. I tried my best, but I am dropping the class.

This guy sent me to tears his methods were so insane. I couldn't take the course and neither could a lot of other students - about 1/2 of the class dropped it before Christmas. Don't bother!!

Dr O'Connor was very helpful to me and gave me all the support I needed to be successful in his course. He responded quickly to every email and was always helpful when he needed to be :) While his lectures were for the most part boring, some were fun.
