This is NOT an easy class. Lots of homework (online & off), difficult tests, papers, and projects. He teaches VERY well. I cried after the first exam because I thought I failed (I didnt). It sucks, but if you cant handle this class, maybe dont be an accounting major. Its his job to weed out the bad students.

Easy class the first half, but capsim was hard. It's not optional though, and I don't think any other professor could have lessened the blow as much as Rohrs. Capsim is very rushed, but that's because it's forced into only eight weeks of class. I didn't finally understand it until the last week. Be prepared to bond with your group. It helps.

Rohrs is a great guy, really cares about Accounting which makes the class more interesting. This class is very hard & time consuming - I'm just taking it as a business requirement. There are 4 exams in the 1st 1/2 of the class, I'm normally an A student, & I received 81.5, 79, 97.5, and 69 on them if that tells you something. 2nd 1/2 is Capsim.

Professor Rohrs is a nice guy but there is SO much homework for this class. He collects homework 1-2 times per week and doesn't necessarily communicate what the actual homework is. Half of the homework is online and the other half are book problems. The first exam took nearly 20 minutes longer than the 2 hours allotted. This class is ridiculous.

Sure, he's a nice guy. But I've had him for 2220 and 3210, and won't EVER take him for another class. There is a lot of homework, it's mostly on Connect and doesn't help you study. You take four or five exams before the actual final, and if you miss one day of class, good luck passing that exam. He says he curves, but only by two or three points.

I thought professor Rohrs was AWESOME. First half of semester was managerial accounting and the second half was Capsim. Study HARD for the exams. He explains things very well and tries to make it fun. He is a riot and I loved his dry humor. I really enjoyed Capsim. Again, you get what you put into it. I hope I have him for my upper level classes.

Heavy material coverage in class. He makes accounting more exciting and dumbs down the material. Beware of Capsim like everyone says. Don't take class time for granted. All problems done in class appear in nearly exact same way as exams. Great prof! A big reason why BG is top in accounting.

This class is hard. It's a big change in thinking from the last class. The material is confusing and the exams are hard. Capsim is okay if you understand what you're doing and you have a good group of people. Go to class or you will have no idea on what's going on.

Great guy. Really cares and/or is interested in the course material. Explains things in a super easy to understand manner, and has amazing understanding of the accounting field in general. Low amounts of homework with fair and simple grading criteria. Very helpful; if I take more accounting courses, I will certainly look to see if he instructs.

He's an amazing professor. Although he's kind of difficult and expects a lot from his students, he's so passionate about the subject he makes it enjoyable. He's always willing to help students too if they're confused. He does assign a good bit of homework, so be prepared.

Go to class and really pay attention, do all of the online homework, and you'll be fine. Rohrs is a good guy and does well at explaining concepts. If you actually want to learn something (especially in ACCT 2210 & 2220 or if you're an acct major) then take him. You might get a BC but you'll be glad in your upper level classes that you took him.

Way too much homework. Also, he uses online platforms most of the time so he doesn't have to do the actual grading.

Too many online assignments that he barely explains. He hardly ever collects the homework and his exams are too demanding for what he teaches in class. He may be a nice guy but he's an average professor.

Professor Rohrs is a nice guy and knows what he is talking about. That said, he's not very organized and we never accomplished everything we were supposed to in class. There is homework both online and class. A few exams, ethics memos, and a group project. I learned a lot but it was very rushed and we were still being taught on the day of tests.

He was such a good teacher and really made sure you understood the subject by relating it to real life events. Accounting is a hard subject but if you study and stay on top of the assigned work it is very doable to get an A or a B. Just a little dedication and you're golden

One of my favorite teachers of all time! Class requires studying but you'll really like him and he keeps things interesting. Capsim was fun for me and took up half of the semester and my team won. I've had him for both courses and wouldn't take anyone else!!

Nice guy but not the best teacher. Study hard for exams, when I studied hard I got an A. The last one I barely did I got a D. STUDY! use the review problems he gives you and read the book and you'll do fine. You have alot of exams but he does it on purpose so their is less to cover. Would recommend.

Awful. Sure, Mr. Rohrs is a great guy, but he is not a good teacher. He moves so quickly& barely explains the information. He teaches like everybody has prior knowledge and are all acct majors. His exams are VERY difficult. I disliked this class!
