Just finished taking this class online. You have a textbook and grammar quiz every week (total of 2 quizzes a week)and 4 writing assignments(no group projects!). The class was not hard, but you definitely have to read every week and study your stuff. Lots of work, but I learned a lot and would recommend this class to everyone.

I took the class on line Fall 2009. Easy class if you follow the syllabus and do all quizzes and assignments. Professor answers questions daily (even on weekends!) you just need to post your question on the forum. I never emailed him, no need to; I posted my questions and had an answer within 24 hours. I recommend him!

Easy class. Professor gives two quizzes a week which are easy if you use the book while taking them. The only annoying thing about him is that he DOES NOT RESPOND TO STUDENT EMAILS. This can become really frustrating when you think about the fact that you're paying $200 extra for the professor to never have to go to class. They should respond.

He is not an Easy Prof, But not hard either. Follow the instructions he gives you, do all the quizzes and work he assigns. Do study what ever he assigns, and you will do good. He is helpful, and will answer any question you have for him. Any bad reviews you read about him, will probably be from students who are lazy. =0P

Just as the previous review. I highly reccomend this professor. The written assignments can be tough for this course, but if you work hard enough you will get a good grade. Professor Schriner was very helpful with any questions I had.

I took this class online. Pretty easy class, I mean I did not do anything and got an A-. Some of the grammar quizzes are hard though, so if you wanna get an A+ read the chapters and do the practice grammar quizzes. Written assignments are long and time consuming, especially the last 2. I wish all classes were like this one :) Good Job Prof. Sch

I agree with the post under, his class is fairly easy as for the writing assignments but dont get fooled his Quizzes are super hard including the grammar quiz you have every section. I give him C as a professor.

He's an okay professor. He made it fairly easy. The writting assignments are what really count in this course. I think he's fair with the assignments. His quizes suck though. But if you study hard for it you should have no problem.

Currently taking the class online. I agree about the time given for the quizzes being unfair; 25 min for 30 questions (less than 1 min for each!!) However, he does give enough work and enough pts to be able to get a good grade. He is very helpful too.

Totally dissapointed! He gives you 2 attempts for grammar and textbook quiz however, you only have 15 min for 20 question. I highly do not reccomen.Then his writing assignment are totally graded unfair. Very annoyed by his method of teaching. Take it in campus as everyonline COM3110 USES SAME TECHNIQUE!

Best Professor I ever had. If you want to learn everything that is needed for effective business communication, this is your professor. He even took the time to teach us about time management and personal effectiveness. Great professor, but you have to want to learn. Not an easy A, but good attendance and hard work are duly rewarded in this class.
