Brian's lectures are extremely long winded, and he puts like 20 points on one slide, but I think he is an amazing professor. He really knows his stuff, and his tests are pretty straight forward. He's a bit awkward, but I really enjoy his classes.

Liked course, but Proff vague in his explanations of assignments - good luck ever getting 100% because there is always more info he thinks you could add. Lots of assignments worth very little but you have to work for hours on to get decent mark. Slowest marker ever! Last day of class and we get out first assignment back! Interesting course though.

Comment:

Favorite class and instructor in the environmental science program. Learned a ton from this course, and all the material is very applicable to real world and work scenarios. Great teaching style, although short-answer exam questions require that you memorize specific information.

Best prof in the program. Very content heavy and somewhat of a critical marker, which in the end makes you learn more. Very knowledgeable and you can tell he cares about your education not just his pay check.

Stay AWAY from his class. Boring, dull classes with TONES of never ending slide notes to go over. Makes your life very hard. He is also a critical marker! He literally ditches your emails without an answer if he does not like them.

Brian is a very nice guy who is very passionate and knows his stuff but he is BORING!! Very monotone and not very engaging. However, that being said he uses PowerPoint slides for his lectures and they are always availabe on BlackBoard so you dont need to attend class. Provides good guidelines for assignments so it is easy to do well.
