Probably the best professors I have had. Super understanding and compassionate. Great teacher and is super passionate. Makes this hard class extremely fun. I would take him again and recommend him to all of my friends, especially if you need communication classes.

This teacher was tough but fantastic. He required you to do the reading, but the animated in class discussions made up for the work. Never have I learned so much. This class may be the only one I will find applicable uses for in real life after college. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This class was freakin' AWESOME! One of the best classes I've ever had at NIU. He encourages alot of discussion in class, which makes the class very interesting. Also has a good sense of humor too. Definitely worth taking any classes that he teaches.

This teacher's freegin' amazing. He takes a difficult subject and puts life into it. If you have to take a law course for coms or journalism, I highly recommend taking it with Dr. Thornton. He makes you want to learn this stuff.

Took him over the summer and he expected a lot of work. You have to do the work to keep up in the class but this prepares you amazingly well for exams and quizes. Mostly in class discussion which helps you understand. OK grading system. Show up and do the work and you cannot get less than a B.
