I learned more in one semester of French with Brinsley than I did in four years of high school French. There was more focus on conversation and fluency than on grammar and rote learning. Every French teacher should learn his methods.

This teacher was horrible. I have been speaking French my entire life, and I could teach that class better than he could. I have heard that he is an alright teacher for the easy levels of French, but in the higher he is horrible, I know from experience! He makes you feel crappy about yourself, and that is just bull!

awesome teacher. soooo funny. i enjoyed every class. class has lots of oral work, but he makes it sooo fun!!! trust me. (this coming from a shy person) tests are easy if you study. A+ guaranteed if you put in a little effort.

He's alright, I took French up to gr.11 and I grew up in a French speaking family, and he still confused me on the stuff I already knew. He puts you on the spot if you're not sure of what you're doing and pretty much makes people feel crapy. His tests are really easy tho. Take someone else if you can. Otherwise, read the text and you'll do fine.

Abrasive style. One female student described him as rude. I talked to other students who dropped the course because of his attitude. However, some swear by him. I suggest you take your French with someone else, like Karsenti, if you want an enjoyable class room atmosphere to learn in.

Awesome instructor! His classes are really fun! And he teaches ery well! His is not a hard or an easy marker - he is just a very fair marker! What you get depends on you! If you want to get an A it won't be very hard, just study for the exams -> cahier + the textbook = all you need!
