Bruce London is a fantastic Professor. He is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches. Fair grader. If you go to class, you will be all set for the papers. He is VERY clear about his expectations. Do what he outlines and you will be all set. Highly recommend taking a course with him.

Very straightforward and clear lecturer. A nice man who is very passionate about the topics in the class. Take good notes and you're set for your papers. Talks like Truman Capote, which I find to be a plus. :)

Professor London is great teacher. He is very knowledgeable and very excited and passionate about his work. He explained concepts very thoroughly and his lectures are VERY well planned everything connects to everything else we have talked about and they flow very nicely. I loved this class and it is what helped me decide on a major!

One of my favorite profs at Clark. He seems like such a gentle, sweet old man but surprises you occasionally with his humor and anti-Republican anger. Just make sure to include everything he's ever said in your papers and you'll get an A!

The worst class I have had in college. Reiterated needlessly on basic concepts and did not go into any depth about the topic, then expected us to have an advanced understanding of the topic. Class discussions were nonexistent, and any questions or comments were ignored, despite this being a "First Year Intensive".

He wears the same navy blue hoodie and white old man sneakers every day. Really cynical and paranoid. Super boring class, and then he expects more of you than you thought he would. I would avoid him like the plague.

After reading the other comments, I found that those who took London's SOC010 course did not like him, and those (like me) who took his SOC205 course loved him. Bruce London is a great professor. Clear, helpful, interesting, funny, knowledgeable, motivating, nice! I recommend him as a professor!

While he has a soft voice and passive teaching style, he is an easy grader and a very reasonable man. Going to class is not mandatory, but if you go, your notes will basically write your paper and you will do well. Pretty interesting topic.

worst class i've taken at clark thus far and worst professor with exception to doug johnson. london couldn't make the material more dry and boring. the papers and readings are easy, but try to stay awake in class. teaching methods are awful, gives his point of view more than he should.
