the only reason i come to this class is because he marks attendance and participation, i don't like going at all. i don't get anything out of the lectures personally. I think HE knows what he's teaching about but it always feels like he's just making it up on the spot. also kind of a strange fellow. makes me laugh a bit. the class is just confusing

I'm taking critical thinking from Bryan Weibe and I love this course! I feel like its the most useful class that I have taken in university thus far. Bryan is a great professor who really wants his students to succeed and is always willing to take the extra time to explain a concept that you might not understand. It is a tough class but worth it!

I attended almost every class and dreaded it every time. The guy can be rude when you voice your opinion, whether he's meaning to or not. He marks almost entirely within the 70-range. It's like no matter how good or bad you are he considers you average. I really disliked him and he never explained the marks he gave. I also now hate philosophy.

he was not helpful at all. if you like to talk in class he'll love you, but if you're a quiet person do not take his classes. he gets off topic every class, making the tests very difficult since all of the material had not been covered. don't take him if you want a good grade!

He was an excellent prof. He's not the easiest marker but he is fair. People don't like him because they don't go to class and get marks which are reflective of it. I highly recommend him.

WORST CALL I HAVE EVER TAKEN IN MY UNIVERSITY CARRER! I was so excited to go into the class, however we only covered three topic, two of which he showed little to no interest in!! Grades range from 60 to 80%. Expect no direction with regards to your papers. He didn't even read his assisgned articiles for the term paper!!!

LOVED this class. Interesting if you are at all interested. He is so excited that it is infectious. It is refreshing to have such an engaging prof. I got an 83 so he does mark a little lower but you can get a high mark. He really prized participation..so show up and talk as much as you can.

Chooses textbooks that are only tangentially related to the subject matter, takes attendance at every lecture, and rarely gives grades below 60 or above 80. Also, he is very quirky in class, giggling and smiling for no reason. However, once engaged in real debate, he can more than hold his own. Quick on his feet, and pretty cool about lateness.

I loved/hated this class. He encouraged class discussion which made class more interesting. I found him to be a fair marker. Your grade will reflect your effort. challenging material, but an easy final. have to love philosophy to enjoy the class!

i thought environmental philosophy would be about...well the environment.boy was i wrong.easy marker tho, i never bought the text or went to class, im still not sure what my paper was about and i drank 4 litres of beer the night before the final without studying and still ended up with a 75%. take the class if you want 3 free credits

I got the second highest mark in the class: a 79. The top mark was an 80. If your a student who aims for A+ grades, do not take this class. Wiebe runs on the philosophy that its best for everyone to do good rather than some excellent and some bad. He is a generous marker for weak students, but won't give out anything beyond 80 to those deserving.

He doesnt like giving a mark below 60 or above 80. So if you're an under-acheiver and want a class where you can do nothing and pass with a decent mark, this is the prof for you. If you are a student who works hard and gets good marks, dont take this class, because it doesnt matter how much work you put in, you'll still end up with around an 80.

Interesting class...don't take it if you are uncomfortable with sexual topics. He doesn't look like the type of guy that would teach such a topic...but he adds his own humour. All around a nice guy, easy exams if you come to class.

I thought Wiebe was a great prof.. you have to have a sense of humor in his class. He's funny, and he knows philosophy REALLY well. But some of his examples were OUT THERE! I think he marks fairly, he just doesn't give marks that aren't deserved. All in all, I recommend him as a prof.
