Had him in first sem of BSD. Nice guy, lectures were alright as well. Wasn't very boring. Has a multiple choice quiz of 10 questions on every reading every week, most of which I got 4-7 on, since I didn't read the texts as well as I should have. Still ended up with a good mark, so no complaints. Best English mark I've gotten yet.

If the course wasn't mandatory, I would have dropped the course within the first two weeks. The course is a joint program that involves students from both business and professional writing. Professor in the first lecture clearly states that business students will do better in the course; this makes writing students to feel inferior and hopeless.

Sure, to some he might be considered a hard marker, but that aspect sure as hell kept me motivated to maintain my A in his course. Oh, and to the first person who commented, he gave me an A on an essay even though he didn't agree with how I interpreted the story. I just explained my views and he saw my standpoint.

I dropped his class, but in the time I had him, he was cool and actually listened and interacted with students. Somehow, he made a 3 hour English class fun, and I didn't fall asleep. Job well done!
