The lectures are very boring. He drags them out forever. He also wont use any language that wasn't available to the philosopher so it's hard to understand. He also pull a fast one on you and tell you there is no format to your essay, then the night before it's due he'll add a whole new format. So I would pass if I were you.

He was really well spoken and was very clear with what he expected of students. He didn't allow laptops, but he didn't rush through the material, allowing for plenty of time to take the notes down. I never felt rushed. He is also pretty funny and knows how to keep ur attention. This was my favourite course in first year. U gotta do the readings!!

I took his class during winter 2012. He's a prof that really cares for his students and going to office hours for help or just to chat will help. Besides profs like you going to office hours. He teaches well. He has a warm vibe. I would suggest going to class and doing your readings though. Both the classes I took with him, he allows computers

I enjoyed this professor for the most part, but occasionally some anti-religion bias would present itself in lectures, which I found distasteful. Otherwise, fairly decent marker, although you weren't told why certain marks were docked, so that was frustrating because you couldn't really improve yourself. Laptops weren't allowed in class.

really funny, interesting prof. this class was one of my favourites to go to despite being 5.30-7.30 at night. you never use the textbook except for essays but you have to attend lectures cause he doesn't post notes anywhere. overall, awesome prof :)

Excellent Prof. knows his stuff, and gives excellent lectures. He's also really helpful and gives good clear explanations if you get confused about anything. This is probably one of the best teachers at Laurier.
