The class as a whole was pretty easy and I got a relatively easy A while just skimming through the chapters. The only annoying thing is she's like a super liberal but other than that the class was pretty easy

Professor Carr was very interactive, encouraged participation, and clarified all material. She takes the time to review an essay and gives great feedback on what she wants, and will look for. You should attend lecture, and if you ask her, she will put the PowerPoints online. the textbook is needed for questions on the exams.

Dr. Carr is a very difficult teacher with many pointless assignments. Her liberal agenda is certainly upheld in the class and she looks down on her students. I recommend you don't take her.

Attendance is important. It counts for a grade. You also don't want to miss her Powerpoints. Her midterms & finals are heavily based on the notes she provides in class. 100 questions ea. on the midterm & final. Easy A if you attend class. Other than that, you do 4 papers. She's helpful in and outside the class. Would recommend. Lots of reading.

She's actually a good teacher. Gets her point across. Everything is on powerpoint. She goes very fast through them. So don't write down every word. You need to read for the quizzes and study a lot for the tests. Other than that, it's good.

Her class is boring. The book is more interesting. Her study guides are horrible and their is a lot of reading. She is a good professor, but her teaching method makes her a little boring. Make sure to write fast because the powerpoints come and go. Weekly online quizzes that are easy and 1 4-5 page paper

She is so nice and her class is very interesting. She gives a lot of helpful information that is easy to understand. I actually did not mind going to class! She is really cool and down to earth... just do your work and come to class.

Basically everyone wanted to die in her section. She is soooo boring and makes you do these unnecessary papers. I did not enjoy the class at all and was very bored basically the entire time. I suggest taking Kayal, he is a little nuts, but you def. enjoy learning from him, and actually learn something.

Take Kayal instead - he's not at all perfect, but far better than Carr or Haynor. Carr is too opinionated and not the least bit objective. She grades too unfairly and expects unrealistic amounts of effort and work. If you're male, she will dislike you from the start; she's an extremely biased feminist. She pathologizes men in general.

Pretty brutal. I have had summer classes, and this one is by far the hardest. There is too much work for what you end up learning. We read so much that it was impossible to retain anything. Seems to like to scare her students into doing their work. There are easier classes to take. I wouldn't take this class unless you absolutely have to.

it is evident that she is a hippy and also that she is biased. She sees it as nothing to mess up your grade if you are not one of her favorites.
