The best prof at Uvic bar none. He made chaucer interesting and even fun. Great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. If you ever have the chance,take a course with him,even if the course seems dry or difficult. You will get your money's worth!

Very good prof. It is extremely hard to make Chaucer interesting, but he did. Used different methods to make us think, like reciting parts of verses out loud for marks.

Dr. Grindley was by far the best prof I've had in my four years at UVic. He made class super fun, told hilarious stories, and still managed to teach us useful stuff. I hope Yale is enjoying him as much as all of us here at UVic did.

Hands-down the best prof I have ever had at UVic. It is such a shame that they let him go. At least he was appreciated at Yale where he went. He gave out his home number to call him for help. SO dedicated, SO smart.
