Dr. Luna is an awesome guy! His lectures are entertaining and you'll learn a lot. Study guides are exactly whats on the test. A lot of papers assigned, but manageable. Attendance was taken on the first few weeks of class only. He is very approachable outside of class. He missed a few classes which he gave us mandatory extra credit assignments. LOVE

Taking his intro to int. relations class made me decide to add it as a minor because I enjoyed it so much. It was purely lecture based and no participation required, but he was interesting to listen to so I never got bored. He also gives you all the possible terms/questions/essays for each test ahead of time and then selects a few of each on it.

Luna is intelligent and knows what he is talking about. He has very in-depth lectures that are not available outside of class, so while attendance is not technically mandatory, miss it and you've lost the material. His tests are not difficult, but his study guides are very large. He assigns many papers that will catch up with you if you slack off.

He has taught this class so many times, so if you just get a study guide from someone who's taken the class, you'll get an A, lots of extra credit opportunities. He assigns this huge paper in groups and is super confusing about it

I had him for a college level PoliSci course taught at my high school, he's really good with helping students who need extra time. Great lecturing, good at relating to his students & makes efforts to ensure everyone understands. He's also really nice even though he tries to act menacing

Great lecture; very funny and cover a lot, but the organization can make note taking difficult. Few mandatory assignments but plenty of deadline free extra credit. Test are difficult, but expectations are clear and grading is fair. The textbook isn't needed but his lecture follows it and references to it garner extra points on tests.

Funny, POLSIR GENIUS, fast talker. Hard to understand concepts because he lectures so passionately. gives up to 5% extra credit w short essays, three exams total (last exam counts as final). each exam has a study guide with exact questions. use the outlinelectures in class WORD FOR WORD to answer the questions and memorize.

Luna is an engaging and funny professor but is extremely disorganized. I took his honors international relations class, where he was so behind on lecture that he had us teach ourselves the material for the final. The class was not that challenging overall, just do the reading after he gives you the study guide and attend lectures for notes.

Luna is actually really boring to me actually. There's no student participation in his class. He just talks AT you not to you. His lectures kind of make sense but a lot of times he goes on tangents and then the students lose track of what he's talking about. He also makes up his own terminology so expect that to be on the test.

Luna is extremely energetic and funny. Every class he goes over slides but he actually makes it interesting because he has great charisma. He gives you a study guide with everything that will be on the test, so there might be 50 questions on the study guide,he would pick 10 from those that will be on the test. He's also very helpful in office hours

I took both Luna's classes back in 2000-2001. His classes teach you how to invest. A must in the major. He doesn't care if you come to class, but his class material is what is on the test. He gives an outline for the test the class before that has all of the potential questions that will be on the test.

I am obsessed with him!! He is by far one of the best and more intelligent professors I've ever had. True, there's a lot of information, but he gives you a study guide and EVERYTHING on the test come from that guide so as long as you do that you're golden. I loved this class. Wish I could take it again

Dr. Luna is nothing short of awesome. His vast knowledge and experiences, along with some witty sarcasm, make class quite enjoyable, and I'm not even a Poly Sci major or minor. I felt like I learned more than what was required of the actual course. Good class for anyone to take.

He's a really nice guy and he has a good sense of humor. He does not use his books at all, and there's no reason to read them. He gives you a study guide before every test, but you need to make sure you know everything exactly how he states it in his notes in order to do well, so attendance is definitely necessary. A B is definitely achievable!
