Comment:
Easy class if you've taken AND done well on the LSAT. Otherwise, I can see how the class would be tough. As for the Professor, he replied fairly timely to questions asked on MLS. Seems like a good guy. Don't buy the textbook though.. was a complete waste of money. The notes he posts on MLS cover everything in great detail.

Quizzes are poorly structured, essays are marked harshly, relatively uninteresting and unengaging as a prof.

the overall content of the course was interesting, but I did not enjoy Carl as a prof. I found that his quizzes were impossible to do well on even after doing the readings. Furthermore, his marking is very tough when it comes to essays and other assignments.

6 week course so 3 hour lectures were very long but made boring content endurable. Some readings are BURTAL (length/content) but he goes over them in class. Marking: weekly quizzes (10 M/C, easy if you do readings/attend lecture), class discussions, essay, take home final. Funny guy although he says we were a tough crowd but I thought he was funny.

This professor was very clear in what was expected and what was needed in order to do well in this class. The class I had taken was online. His notes were very clear and very easy to understand. He was very fast at replying to students and the class was organized very well. The textbook was not needed as his notes we amazing.

Smart philosophy prof. But when I took Aesthetics it got a little confusing. He seemed to say something in lecture, and then question why I would write that concept in my assignments. Yeah. Gets confusing. Quizzes were tough, it was an interesting course, but too hard. Do ALL the readings if you want to pass. Although the final exam was a breeze!

Dr. Simpson was a fantastic professor! He is a fair marker and is very pleasant in the classroom. He is funny and his lectured allowed me to grow as a student. His class gave me a boost of confidence in my school work, and I would be happy to take his class again.

I would rank Carl as one of the least useful professors I have had as of yet. He is unhelpful, dismissive of students' questions/comments and his marking is inconsistent with the syllabus. He is incredibly flaky (twice he failed to show up without notice). He uses bad demonstrative examples and lectures simply are not clear. Avoid his classes.

Awful prof. The course has the potential to be a great class (interesting material) but he makes it dreadful. Quizzes are impossible to do well on (he quizzes on the most irrelevant tiny details from the readings), lectures are very difficult to follow (doesn't use slides). He is rude and unhelpful. Avoid him if you can.

Comment:
Very unhelpful and really does not even know what he is talking about half the time. Lectures are pointless and very confusing, as there is no structure. Course content has the potential to be interesting, but the way that he teaches the course ruined the entire course for me. Also makes quizzes far too difficult and weighs them way too much.

Not helpful in terms of practicality for course and real life knowledge. He lectures off the readings which are long and boring and that no one has probably done and just expands on them. Quizzes he assigns for the readings also are very hard, based on very specific information within the readings. Overall, not helpful, not useful and hard

Never actually met Professor Simpson for I took his class in spring as an online course, but judging from the way he responded and answers given, I think he is a great prof; better than some of my previous ones who happens to so obviously show a lack of concern for their students. No complaints n would galdly take another class with him.
